The challenge
When we created the travel guide website Valencia Style, showcasing the best of the Spanish city, we needed to market the site in an inventive way. After we developed the on-site SEO content, we needed to create an off-site SEO campaign.
The proposal
In order to build backlinks to Valencia Style and build its authority, as well as affecting its search engines results ranking, we approached expat newspaper The Olive Press. By offering article writing for websites, we knew we could bring visitors to the Valencia Style site and showcase our local knowledge. The Olive Press in a respected, well-ranked websites, with readers that are both expats and visitors to Spain. We proposed a twice-monthly column to showcase everything that is happening in Valencia, with a backlink to the valencia.style website.
The result
The column has been a success, continuing on an indefinite basis and the valencia.style website has seen impressive results as part of the overall marketing campaign. Article writing for websites such as The Olive Press has formed just part of the overall marketing strategy for Valencia Style and the travel guide is now becoming a go-to for people looking to travel to Spain’s third city.
